Creating an attachment for your post

How do I attach a file to my post?

When you create a new thread, reply to a thread, or edit your own post, you’ll see an “Attachments” file picker below the message box.

• Click it and choose up to 5 files.
• Allowed types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, webp, pdf, txt, zip, log.
• Each file can be up to 10MB.

Once you post, your attachments appear directly under your post - images show as a preview, other file types show as a filename with a size and a download link.

To remove an attachment from a post you’ve already made, edit the post and check “Remove” next to the attachment you want to delete, then save.

How do I insert an image directly into my post text?

Use the image icon in the formatting toolbar (above the message box). It gives you two options:

• Paste a link to an image already hosted somewhere else, or
• Upload an image straight from your computer.

Either way, the image is inserted right where your cursor is, so you can put pictures in the middle of your text rather than only at the bottom of the post. This also works when writing a private message.

Notes

• Posts imported from the old forum may still show attachments that were uploaded there - those display the same way as new attachments.
• If you upload an image via the toolbar icon but never finish posting, the upload doesn’t get attached to anything and is cleaned up automatically after a while.
